Dr Sandy Kerr is Associate Professor in Economics at Heriot-Watt University where he is Director of the International Centre of Island Technology at Heriot-Watt’s Orkney Campus. His main research interest are in community benefits from renewable energy systems. In the context of EnergyRev he is working with the WP6 team to gather case study evidence to give a better picture of the barriers faced by project teams trying to implement smart local energy systems. This information will then be used to develop pathways to upscaling demonstrator projects.
