EnergyREV Co-l for Cyber-Physical Advances in Smart Local Energy Systems

George Konstantopoulos

George Konstantopoulos is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering, University of Sheffield, and an EPSRC UKRI Innovation Fellow in the priority area of cheap and clean energy technologies. His research interests include nonlinear modelling, advanced control design and stability analysis of micro-grids and smart grids. His team has developed novel control techniques for the smart grid integration of distributed energy resources, which have been implemented in UK industrial micro-grid sites. George is involved in the WP1.1 Cyber-Physical Advances in Smart Local Energy Systems and will contribute to the novel research development and evaluation of existing and future energy demonstrators in the areas of control, autonomous operation, optimisation and decision-making in order to put the ‘smart’ into local energy systems.
